How to report suspicious activity.

When to report. 
It is important to contact us immediately if: 

  • You see any suspicious activity on your account.
  • A card, mobile phone or other payment device is lost or stolen.
  • Your PIN number or internet banking login credentials have become known by someone else.
  • You've provided any of your banking credentials or an SMS One-Time Password to a third party or have entered them into a website that you think is suspicious.
  • You suspect you are, or have been a victim of a scam. 
  • You have recieved a suspicious email, text or call. 


How to report. 

  • During business hours (9 to 5, Monday to Friday) to report suspicious activity please call your local branch, or call our Head Office on (02) 6862 2788. Alternatively you can email [email protected] 
  • Outside of business hours you can contact our Visa Fraud Department on 1300 705 750 for 24/07 Visa card assistance. You are also able to temporarily block or permanently stop your card via the CWCU Mobile Banking App. 
  • Outside of business hours if you have an immediate concern that does not relate to your Visa card, please email [email protected] and [email protected] (these emails are monitored less frequently at this time, however we will try our best to respond to your concern as soon as possible).  


LIABILITIES: You may be liable (within certain limits) for any unauthorised transactions using electronic or card banking if you provide your credentials to a third party (including a family member or friend). The same applies if you don’t protect your device, codes and passwords, or if there is an unreasonable delay in telling us about the misuse, loss or theft of a device. Lost or stolen card?

If your Visa card has been lost or stolen it is important to stop it straight away to prevent unauthorised transactions on your account. If you do not make reasonable steps to stop your card after it has been lost or stolen, you may be liable for any unauthorised transactions  - refer to our Account & Access Facility Conditions of Use for more information.
