Government Guarantee

On the 12th October 2008, the Prime Minister announced a new scheme to guarantee all deposits held in Australia's Financial Institution including Credit Union's.

The Central West Credit Union has been a responsible provider of Home, Car and Personal finance to its members for over 40 years. We have stringent lending policies in place to protect members deposits and we do not have any direct exposure to the the Global Financial Markets.

All Credit Unions are supervised by the Australian Prundential Regulation Authority and must meet the same strict, legally-enforceable standards as Banks, under the Banking Act.

Parkes Relay For Life

The Parkes Relay for Life was conducted over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of November 2008. The staff of the Central West Credit Union raised approx $2,000 from their two raffles. Our Parkes Staff participated in the walk and were very weary at work on Monday.
