Introducing Bank@Post with CWCU

8 December, 2020
CWCU wishes to let our members know our agencies at Condobolin, Peak Hill & Grenfell will be closing in December.

The decision to close the agencies is based on the significant decline in the level of transactions performed at the agencies in recent years - with members increasingly doing their banking through alternate technologies.

We acknowledge this decision may prove disappointing to some. However, due to the significant decline in physical transaction levels the agencies, access service is no longer financially sustainable into the future.

Access to banking services for all our members is important to us. To ensure future access, all CWCU members will have the ability to perform deposit and cash withdrawal transactions with their Visa Card at over 3,500 Australia Post outlets throughout Australia with their Bank@Post facility. This will be available from 14th December, 2020.

Of course, this is in addition to the numerous ways to bank with CWCU available for members (Eftpos, “Tap & Go”, Online, Internet Banking, CWCU’s Mobile App, BPay, Phone Banking, ATM’s and Branch locations).

Relevant disclosure documents detailing the operation of the Bank@Post facility and this important information will be available on our website from 14th December 2020.

It is important to note that CWCU is providing members with up to three (3) “free” Bank@Post transactions per calendar month, with any transactions beyond this attracting a fee of $3.60 each.

These transaction fees commence from the 1st January 2021. Cash deposits, cheque deposits and cash withdrawals are each treated as individual transactions and ALL transactions can only be performed through your Visa Card & PIN.

If you do not currently have a Visa Card and may wish to transact at a Bank@post facility, please contact your nearest CWCU Branch to discuss ordering a card.

It should be noted that no Credit Union services beyond these transactions will be processed at Australia Post outlets and Australia Post has no visibility of any member’s personal details or accounts details or balances.
