PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST FRAUD
 

By taking the following simple precautions you can help protect your personal financial information and minimise the chance of fraud occurring on your account.

  • Keep you PINs and passwords confidential and never keep them with your card, in your wallet, purse or near your computer.

  • Sign any new card immediately in ink and never allow anyone else to use it. Always destroy old cards once they have expired.

  • If you are expecting a new or renewal card or cheque book and it doesn’t arrive within a reasonable time please contact your local branch.

  • If you believe an ATM has been tampered with, do not use it and advise the institution involved.

  • Never allow your card to be taken out of your in sight during any transaction.

  • Keep official log-in websites in a favourites or bookmark folder to reduce the risk of mistakes or deception.

  • Never provide your personal PIN, passwords, account or credit card details in response to an unsolicited request or by email.

  • When using internet banking look for the “closed padlock” symbol at the bottom of your web browser.

  • Check your statements promptly and contact us immediately if you notice any discrepancies.
