The Central West Credit Union prides itself on the level of support and contribution made to the local community. As a locally owned and operated organisation the Credit Union acknowledges the importance of community involvement, and remains committed in this regard.

Sponsorships

Following is an overview of contributions the credit union has made to our communities:

• Community Dividend Fund
• Major sponsor for the Sportsperson of the Year Award in Cowra
• Major sponsor for the Sports Achiever of the Year Award in Forbes
• Sponsorship of a student to attend Youth Forums at University of Western Sydney. Camp introduces students to the fundamental issues and skills needed for their adult lives
• Major sponsor through substantial donation to Parkes Swimming Club to purchase semi-automatic timing systems
• Joint major sponsor in the Forbes Ambulance fleet purchasing vital 'portable soft-pack resuscitators'.
• Major sponsor for Young Achievers program. Over a three year period the credit union contributed both money and advisors/co-ordinators
• Sponsorship for lighting at the Stephen Davies Hockey Field at Parkes which consisted of $10,000 over 5 years
• Forbes Home Show 2000 - exhibitor and provided a $480 lawn mower as a giveaway to anyone visiting the show
• Monetary support to all local schools, churches and other charity groups within the central west
• Active participants in the Birth to Kindergarten Reading Day
• Sponsors of the Animal/Farmyard Nurseries at Parkes, Forbes and Cowra shows. Involve staff handing out balloons and lollipops to the children
• Sponsorship of Parkes Junior touch football team
• Sponsorship provided to Parkes Sports Council to assist the upgrade of the lighting at Pioneer Oval.
